The following resources are links to organzation & service that help the blind, visually impaired and their families.

American Council of the Blind will support the nation’s leading membership organization for blind and visually impaired people in improving social, economic, and cultural opportunities for its members.

The mission of Blind Ambitions Groups is to educate the blind and visually impaired and their families about available resources and to encourage each individual to move to the next step whatever it may be.

Let's Talk Mentoring is a support group formed by 3 members of the American Council of the Blind in 2006. When one becomes diagnosed blind they see the world differently and there are lots of transitions one must go through. Let's Talk aids people through the transitions.

The group was initiated to serve as a support to newly diagnosed visually impaired people and their families. Let's Talk works to pair persons newly diagnosed and experienced diagnosed visually impaired by cause of impairment. This aids the mentee connect to the community, feel and be supported.

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been blind for years, please give them a call. You can be helped or you may be able to help others.
